Do we damage or make the Earth a better place to live?

Some people think that the Earth is being damaged by human activity and our planet is dying. Others think that human activity makes the Earth a better place to live.
Probably there are so many opinions about this statement, but in my opinion human being totally destroys the Earth. Yes, we do make it more comfortable for us, but what about nature? Do we think that we are damaging the Earth by cutting down trees to make a paper, furniture, killing animals to eat them and make some kind of fancy clothes and so on? This sound like this; “We make the world a better place to live by destroying it”.
Nowadays there are so many factories that really harm our atmosphere, that toxic gases destroy ozone layer which surrounds the Earth. But let’s see; if we don’t have an ozone layer, we can’t live, because it protects us from the ultraviolet rays that come from sun. For sure I don’t say let’s shut down all the factories, but isn’t it better to use another ways to produce stuff, that won’t harm nature.
In the US most of the people do recycling; they donate paper, cardboard, bottles and any kind of recyclable things to Recycling factories. It’s free though, they don’t get paid for that unlike in Armenia. That’s so sad that in Armenia they even pay for giving recyclable stuff, but people still don’t recycle. I know, they don’t pay much, just some pennies, but it’s still better than nothing.
I talked about recycling, because it is the one of the best ways to save nature. Actually, recycling is making a new stuff out of garbage. Doesn’t it sound great, when instead of cutting more trees to make paper you can recycle your used paper and get the same paper without cutting those trees?
If we take a look at fauna, it’s too easy to figure out that year by year a lot of animals are being disappeared. But they aren’t just disappearing, or just dying, they are being killed by human beings. Guess how many tigers are left in the world right now? There are only about 3,200 tigers in the entire world, while it’s only a 97% of tigers that left from last century. So it means that more than 100,000 tigers have been killed during last century. I just picked tiger, but it’s the same statistics in the most of the other animal’s cases. We may think if why should we care about tigers, but every animal has its point in the world, nothing and no any breathing organism is pointless.
So, in conclusion I’ll say that human being destroys the Earth to make it better place to live. It sounds like too selfish, but that’s how it is. I hope, that the Earth won’t be completely destroyed in next couple centuries.
